Stephens was born on December 3, 1936 in Columbia County, GA to the late Deacon Samuel and Sister Willie Pearl Leverett.  Mother Stephens was baptized at an early age at the Olive Grove Baptist Church by Reverend L. Kirkland.  She was married to the late Brother Griffin Dunn, Sr. to this union they had 8 loving children and 24 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  After the passing of Bro. Dunn, she later remarried the late Deacon Daniel P. Stephens and 4 more children were added to the family.  She presently resides in Harlem, GA.

Mother Stephens is employed by the Cracker Barrel of Augusta.  She’s worked there for over 19 years.  Mother Stephens enjoys cooking and is an excellent cook, many would tell you.

Mother Stephen is a faithful servant of God.  She is a member of the Deaconess Ministry, Pastor’s Support Ministry, Hospitality Ministry, and the Olive Grove Reunion Choir.  Mother Stephens is a mentor to many, a wonderful mother, and a mother to all.  She loves her Pastor and her First Lady.  Mother Stephens loves the Lord and is most known for her powerful prayers.   Her favorite Bible scripture is Matthew 6:33 “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well”.    Her motto is “If I can help somebody along the way, then my living shall not be in vain.”
